Explore the Emerald Coast on a guided two-hour dolphin tour led by experienced local guides on Yamaha WaveRunners. Our guides know the waterways and focus on locating playful dolphins while sharing natural history about the bay and marine life. Each WaveRunner seats up to 3 guests; we recommend 2 riders for the most comfortable experience.
You'll cruise Choctawhatchee Bay, Cinco Bayou, and Poquito Bayou (weather permitting). Keep your eyes on the water for dolphins and other local marine life. Prefer to ride on your own? We also offer self-guided jet ski rentals — visit our jet ski rental page to book.
Dolphin tour
Everything you need to know before your guided dolphin tour.
This is a two-hour guided dolphin tour priced per jet ski (up to 3 passengers). Tours fill quickly during peak season — book early to secure your spot.
You will have a tour guide for the first hour and a half; for the last 30 minutes, we will give you free time to ride around.
Arrive 15 minutes early for your safety briefing. Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting wet and bring sunscreen.
We use Yamaha WaveRunners that seat up to 3 passengers (we recommend 2 riders per watercraft). Each unit is regularly serviced and inspected for safety.
Your booking includes a two-hour guided dolphin tour, guiding and natural-history commentary from experienced local guides, and use of Yamaha WaveRunners (seating up to 3 guests).
Gratuity, transportation to and from the marina, food and beverages, and personal items are not included.
Meet us at 1350 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. Tickets can be picked up at the booth upon arrival.
Sunscreen, sunglasses, a change of clothes, a towel, and a waterproof camera or phone case.
Routes through Choctawhatchee Bay, Cinco Bayou, and Poquito Bayou depend on weather conditions.
The driver must speak English. You cannot go out on the water if the driver does not speak English.
Please cancel 24 hours prior to the WaveRunner rental start time for a full refund. If the rental is cut short due to inclement weather or WaveRunner issues, we will issue a raincheck that can be used for a different rental date and time. If the trip is canceled by Gulf Island Rentals, you will be issued a full refund.
Once you leave the docks, there are no refunds or rain checks, so please make sure the weather will be good for the duration of your trip. If a storm comes through while you are out and there is lightning, return to the docks for your safety. If it is only light rain, you may stay out. Once the storm passes, you may take your WaveRunner back out, but we will not extend your time while you are at the docks. If you do not use all your time, we will give you your slip back, and you can use your remaining time on a different date.

This was the BEST experience I’ve ever had renting any watercraft. The customer service alone is worth returning for. Very clean and organized! Great quality of jet skis and the private beach was awesome. We will be returning! The kids had such a fun time.

Excellent experience! The staff did a great job getting us set up with our littles (5, 7, and 9) and giving us pointers that suited our family well. We were lucky enought to find a pod of dolphins with their advice! Highly recommend this place and we will be back on future vacations.
